Meet the Team

Bryan Kelly
Co-owner, Pet Sitter

Hello there! I'm Bryan, and I'm having a great day, thanks for asking. After getting my undergraduate degree in 2013, I transitioned from studying business to running a business of my own with Happier at Home. Which means I get to work with wonderful people, meet awesome animals, and help great clients every day. Not a bad deal, there!

Pet sitting has been a part of my life for over a decade, and it's been an enriching decade at that. I've grown up with pets as a part of the family, and the opportunity to meet so many others, all with their own unique quirks and personalities, has been a true pleasure.

When I'm not arranging meetings or playing frisbee with an especially energetic lab, I'm often spending my time playing and writing music, enjoying my family and friends, or just losing myself in the process of reading and learning about the world around me.

Stephen Kelly
Co-owner, Pet Sitter

Hi! I'm Stephen. In addition to being one of Happier at Home's co-owners, I manage the online schedule and work with our excellent pet sitters every day. I also get to meet all kinds of people and pets along the way, which is one of the many reasons why I love what I do.

I've been pet sitting since 2001 and hanging out with dogs since shortly after my birth, and I've learned to know them backwards and forwards over the years. (I mean that literally. I once knew a dog who walked out of rooms in reverse.) Starting Happier at Home with Cindy (my mom) and Bryan (my brother) only increased my love and respect for the animals we let into our homes, and remains as one of the best life decisions I've ever made. To watch as it helps the people around us is honestly more than I could have hoped for.

In between Happier at Home duties, I run a podcast with Bryan and spend a lot of my time creating things while listening to music. This beautiful harmony is only interrupted when Harrison sits on my keyboard for three hour intervals.

Cindy Kelly
Co-owner, Pet Sitter

Hi Animal Lovers!  I am Cindy, the founder of Happier at Home. Having been a dog lover since I got my first puppy at age 9, I am now living my dream of working with dogs, cats and their amazing owners every day.

I created HaH in 2001 to teach our (then young) sons about business and to share our love of pets. HaH has now taken off into their full time passion and we all love it! My mission is to create a way for clients to have freedom to leave their pets behind knowing everyone is relaxed and happy. I am also dedicated to education and steering clients to the very best resources we have found locally.

When not on HaH rounds, you can find me listening to audio books, playing Words with Friends online, walking my own sweet mutts, having coffee with friends at Starbucks, or pondering how to redecorate my house.

Judlyn Blume
Pet Sitter

Hi, I'm Judlyn. I am lucky to be married to a wonderful man, Jeff, and we have three children: Haleigh who is 16 and very involved in the Klein Oak Band playing the Mellophone and French Horn, Olivia who is 14 and about to begin the adventure of raising a pig in the Klein Oak FFA, and Keaton who is 10 and becoming passionate about the game of golf like his dad!

Bandit is our precious Pembroke Welsh Corgi, named for his mask-like markings and because he stole all of our hearts. No longer with us are two wonderful Corgis named Winston and Callie whom Jeff and I raised together, and we've also loved and cared for several Guinea pigs and fish through the years.

Animals have been an important part of my life since I was a young girl. My father was raised on a farm and has an uncanny way with animals of all kinds and I like to think that I get a little of that from him. We had a wonderful mutt named Twinkle, outdoor cats, and freshwater fish; we even raised and bred American Eskimo dogs for a while. We still have loads of animal stories, including many from my father about his childhood dog, Tyg.

My goal at HaH is to provide comfort and love to the pets I'm privileged to encounter and to give peace of mind to their owners while they're away from their beloved pets.

Wendy Webb
Pet Sitter

Hello pet lovers! What a joy it is to work for Happier at Home, as well as, have the opportunity to visit all the wonderful pets we encounter. I must say, I feel extremely lucky to be able to love on all our clients' pets!

In addition to working with HAH, I'm a wife, mother and part time Jazzercise instructor. You should see some of the Jazzercise moves I've taught clients pets…. just kidding – gotcha for a minute there didn't I! In all seriousness, my goal at HAH is to treat your pets with the care and love they deserve in the comfort of their own environment. Additionally, this gives our clients peace of mind while they cannot be with their furry family members. We at HAH truly believe that when your pets are happy and well cared for it's peace of mind for the entire family (human and pets alike).

As a child I grew up with many dogs (and a few cats too)! For many years, I owned a mixed breed terrier named Jake. Jake was part of my life from 8 weeks old until we lost him at 16 years of age. He lived quite a charmed life and was the sweetest mutt you'd ever seen (ok maybe I'm a little biased)! He had character, as he'd smile at you with his slight under bite and he could eat you out of house and home in carrots, yes, raw carrots were his favorite. He was grayish black and we kept him groomed like a schnauzer. His main goal in life was playing fetch and chasing squirrels.

Shortly after joining the HAH team our family adopted a rescue named Baker. We were told Baker is a King Charles Cavalier/Terrier mix, but honestly it doesn't really matter. At roughly 15lbs with a white/brown body, button brown nose and spunky personality, all Baker cares about is how often he can sit on your lap! We are thrilled to have another pet and are having many adventures with Baker and have totally fallen in love with our new family member.

Anne Greenwood
Pet Sitter

Hi! I'm Anne. I've been married 26 years to my best friend, my husband Page. We have two beautiful children: Nicholas (11) who loves to play sports (baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, swim team) and Jenna (7) who loves to draw, roller skate, ride her bike, swim team, and softball. You can usually find the four of us enjoying a sporting event together.

We have two rescue dogs: Murphy and Marley. We adopted Murphy from a local pet store in 2002 and were told she was found under a bridge.  She is a black terrier/schnauzer mix, with a little pig body thrown in. Ha! Marley came into our lives when a family friend's mother died in 2010. We had a house full of company and Marley came through the door and fit right in. She's a blonde version of Murphy—it's amazing how their body types are so similar!  Our dog Kramer, the cutest buff-colored cocker spaniel, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2008. We were blessed to have him with us for 15 years.

I worked in the insurance field for 17 years, and After adopting our first child in 2008 I decided to be a stay at home mom. Happier at Home has always taken wonderful care of my dogs when we vacation, so I was thrilled to join the HaH team. It makes me so happy to spend time with these adorable pets-- as opposed to the insurance field, these clients are always happy to see you! What a dream job!

Lauren Rogulski
Pet Sitter

Hi! I'm Lauren. I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi of my own named Otto who I adopted from an Italian breeder eight years ago. The first line of the adoption email warned me that Otto “has a strong personality and is very stubborn.” That's when I knew he was the dog for me. Otto loves to play soccer, ride in the car, demand belly rubs, and bark at golf carts from behind his gate-- and hopefully spending time with me would be one of his hobbies!

I grew up with a Chow Chow named Charlie, then adopted a German Shepherd named Blackie. When I was little, I owned a 75 gallon aquarium and was obsessed with collecting tropical fish, live coral, and sea plants. It was my pride and joy. I named all of my fish after ancient Egyptian pharaohs, queens, and mythological gods because I'm such a history nerd.

I'm currently in school working on completing my Communications degree with a minor in History. I've been an avid figure skater since I was four years old and competed in regional and state competitions until I was twelve. My current goal is to qualify for the 2017 adult national championships and also join the Houston Theater on Ice team. In between that and visiting our amazing HaH dogs, I love to read and create arts and crafts.

Stacey Hamilton
Pet Sitter

Hi, I'm Stacey. I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Furry, scaly, slimy... I'm drawn to them all. Except insects. I only tolerate those, and usually not very well (more than four legs is TOO many).

I went to Texas A&M with a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian, but changed directions and majored in psychology. Twenty years later I'm married with two teenaged boys.  We currently have two mutts-- one that we found, and one that found us. Scout looks like a bully, but is a big sweetheart. Foxy Brown can't get enough attention and will let you know so when you stop petting her. They are our babies and we spoil them rotten!

I started out as a Happier at Home client several years ago when I was looking for someone to watch the 'girls' while we were on vacation. I was so lucky to find HaH! Cindy and I hit it off right away and I knew she would care for my pets like they were her own. Recently I started looking for something to fill my days and this job fell into my lap-- timing is everything! Now I get to do for others what Cindy and HaH did for my family. I help people who need love and care for their animals when they can't be there. Dream job!

Kathy Kelly
Pet Sitter

Hi there, I'm Kathy. I am very excited to be working with Happier at Home and the Kelly family.

Our dogs, Zack and Fiona, were clients of Happier at Home. They both gave the Happier at Home crew rave reviews! Needless to say, I was delighted to be invited to work with the team.

I really enjoy visiting my furry clients, and getting to know them and love them. Their owners are special too.

Judy Sher
Pet Sitter

Hi there! I'm Judy and moved to the Houston area so I could be closer to family and I heard about Happier at Home from one of their pet sitters. It sounded so refreshing to work with loved animals after 25 years of the corporate world. I love connecting with my doggie clients and their people. What a fun way to spend some of my time!

I have had my Trixie Jo (an 8 lb. Yorkie) since 2012. She is definitely one of the loves of my life. I have deeply loved two other Yorkies in my life as well. They are such special fur babies, these small, feisty, smart little terriers.

Working with the HaH team is fast becoming my very favorite job ever!

Sue Couts
Pet Sitter

Hi, I'm Sue. Nothing makes me happier than being around fur babies and being a part of the Happier at Home family! I am the mom to these two characters, Huggy and Jodi. Huggy is our 52 lb. lap dog and happiest snoozing next to me or working on his tan in the backyard. Jodi is our Alpha and keeps everyone in line, even the bipeds. They are both rescues and the loves of my life.

I am married to Charlie, involved in dog and cat rescue, studying Canine Massage Therapy, and most recently retired. One of perks of having more time on my hands is helping Animal Rescue Kingdom with out-of-state events, but I also enjoy helping with local rescues from feeding feral cats to opening our home to foster dogs.

Bosco
Dog

Bosco is goofy in all the best ways. Unable to stay on his feet for more than half an hour at a time, he honestly thinks the grace of a cat is his to command, which typically means he needs a lot of rescuing. Despite a suspicion of strangers, Bosco loves everyone in his pack endlessly and usually finds a way to wiggle his way onto a lap regardless of size constraints, always with a floppy-eared headbutt.

Buddy
Dog

Known as the Captain America of Happier at Home, this loyal shepherd mix watches over the neighborhood from his giant second-story window with a tireless concern-- tireless aside from all the napping, of course. Like a true superhero, Buddy's origin story is a bit sad but filled with hope: trapped in a shelter, he caught a serious case of pneumonia before an amazing family nursed him back to health. That family was a client of ours, and when they needed a new home for Buddy, we took him in a flash. Now he has two homes, and gets to see his original family often.

Harrison Sparks
Cat

Harrison Sparks is a big, fluffy cat who relentlessly loves being around people. After his previous owner passed away, Harrison was homeless for a few months, relying on friendly neighbors for snacks. But now he lives with us, cuddling anything and everything he can find-- shelves, desks, Tupperware, laps, you name it. He's a cautious, constant explorer, always watching his canine housemates behind full moon eyes as he discovers the undiscovered and snuggles the unsnuggled.
