Thanks for dropping by the Happier at Home blog. This is the first entry, so feel free to settle in and get used to the view. That's what I'll be doing as I start to find out what sort of posts we'll be creating in the coming days. I already have a few ideas cooking, but for now I'd like to let you in on what we've been up to these days.

We've recently welcomed a lot of new dogs and cats into the Happier at Home family, which has been a regular explosion of fun. To say thanks to our customers and keep the ball rolling, we implemented a new referral program, complete with customizable gifts that I'm super happy with. In fact, one of our new customers was referred to us by the excellent O'Brien family, which means Sissy is the first (of several) to earn a Fancy Meal Mat!

Daily midday visits are another shift in Happier at Home-- you might have received an email that mentioned this as a new focus, in fact. Driving from house to house and visiting all manner of wonderful creatures on a sunny afternoon is a genuine joy, with or without the tail-end of August heat. I'm pretty sure human and animal alike will be excited for the upcoming seasonal weather change, but in the meantime I'm taking every precaution possible to keep us cool on our walks.

I hope your summer has been fun and fulfilling so far; I'd venture to say it has been for us. Also, a hint about the next blog post: it may involve something along the lines of a Pet of the Month feature. Actually, that's exactly what it involves, so forget this hinting business and look forward to that!
